How easy is it for an English person to work abroad in mainland europe ?

Hey, I am an English person and was wondering how easy it would be to work abroad in mainland europe. My language skills (besides English lol) are pretty much none existant apart from basic fench and this is one of the reason's why I want to go abroad so that I can learn another language. This summer I am going to work in the USA and because there was not a language barrier it has been pretty easy to arrange but obviously this would not be the same arranging a job in europe. However I would have thought that because English is such a popular language, native English speaking people would be in high demand - I am probably wrong though because most europeans can speak perfect English so it's not much of an advantage lol. I am 18 now and then I have to go back to Uni to finnish my last year of my FdA course and was wondering if anyone had any advice what its like to work in europe, If anyone has done it ? and whats the best way to go about it !
