I have some bib overalls and I cant seem to find anything that gives me instructions on how to fix the straps?

Does anyone know how to fix the straps on bib overalls? i have my favorite pairs of overalls with "pooh bear" on the front and one of the metal ons broke. I bought new ons and now i cant fiquire out how to sew it back on...(i know...how stupid, huh!) lol
