I was suspended from work due to a criminal investigation.?

I was suspended from work due to a criminal investigation. I was the closing manager and me and a couple of co-workers went to have a poker night. We were up till the sun came up. The next morning i was woken up by people from my job saying i needed to get up their asap. Someone used my alarm code at 3 am to steal all the deposits at the store. I had my co-workers at the poker game as witnesses that i did not do it. I was suspended immidietly without pay, and without a date when i could return to work. Two and half weeks later I was able to return to work, but I was demoted. Is their anything that anyone can see that is wrong with this. If their is please comment. I am currently looking up all legalities of the issue before I contact a lawyer.
