Increasing the volume of old cd s with low volume?

My problem is that I have some excellent old rock albums like The Cult, Bowie, Killing Joke, Sisters of Mercy & Fields of The Nephilim but they all have one thing in common, low AAD sound. Even though I have increased the volume in itunes to 100% they are still quite low when your listening to them through the hi fi or with the head phones. Surely there is some kind of program I can download to beef up the volume which would be really fantastic. So any help would be much appreciated.
