Are Christians too focused on ual morals and not focused enough on more important morals?

Like lying for example, or bearing false witness as it’s biblically known. The Christians I encounter tell some of the most blatant lies, especially when they argue about evolution. Yet lying is a very important moral for societies. People need to be able to trust each other and they can’t do that when they’re constantly lying and bearing false witness. So do Christians need to scale back their concern with ual morals and ramp up their concern with morals regarding honesty and the truth?
